David Rock's SCARF model is a powerful tool to use for analysing stakeholders likely areas of resistance to change. It is based on neuroscience of the human response to change specifically our need for survival. Our survival response can be categorised in two ways: Can I eat it? Is it dangerous? (Rewards and Threats logic). Simple put, we can see change as either 'good' or 'bad'.
